Meta uses a different royalty payment model to traditional streaming platforms.
When your music is used in content on Facebook or Instagram, including Reels, Stories, or Feed Posts, you can earn royalties based on how that content performs.
Meta does not pay a fixed rate per stream or view. Instead, royalties are calculated using a proportional revenue-sharing model. This means your earnings are based on content performance, usage type, region, and overall platform activity.
In simple terms:
Meta allocates a monthly budget for music royalties
Your share depends on how many views content using your music receives
Higher overall usage and views can result in higher earnings
It's also worth noting that once royalties from Facebook and Instagram are paid, they will appear in your Ditto Music account.
