What should I do if my music is on the wrong Spotify profile?

Updated yesterday

First things first there’s no need to panic, sometimes these things can happen. Whether your release is live or upcoming there are simple steps to follow to fix this issue. Let’s take you through it! 🙌

If the release is already live, you can login to your Spotify for Artists account and access the content mismatch form. Fill it out and send it off. Spotify will action this ASAP for you to remove another artist’s music from your profile or get your music on the correct profile. Not too scary right?

If your release hasn’t dropped yet, you can fix it directly in your Spotify for Artists account. It's quicker and helps catch any issues early on, here’s the steps you need to follow.💡

  1. Login to Spotify for Artists via your web browser

  2. Navigate to ‘Upcoming’ within the Music tab in Spotify for Artists to view all scheduled releases associated with your artist profile.

  3. Reporting an Issue: Click the three dots (...) next to the relevant upcoming release and select “Report incorrect release.” This will automatically launch the Content Mismatch Form with URI already prefilled for you.

  4. Search and Selection: Within the form, you may search for other upcoming releases by album name or URI. The search is scoped to your artist profile.

  5. Complete and Submit the Form: Fill in the required details and submit the report. An email confirmation will be triggered upon successful submission.
