I still haven’t received my Official Artist Channel - how long does this take?

Once you've submitted your Official Artist Channel application, we'll get to work processing your registration.

This can take up to 2 weeks but may take longer depending on the complexity and quality of the artist data you submit.

Please note that it could take 1 week to a few months to perform quality assurance and then upgrade the channel to an OAC. You’ll know that your OAC upgrade request is approved once:

  • You see “Music videos” and “Albums” shelves, when visiting your channel.
    ​

  • You see the following sections on your YouTube Studio:

    • Concerts: Allows artists to sell tickets to their upcoming shows.

    • Profile(formerly known as “Press kit”) - Allows artists to control their presence on YouTube, YT Music, & YT Charts.
      ​

  • You’ll also see the musical note icon beside the channel’s display name. Note that it may take some time for the icon to appear after the upgrade.
