The major music stores set the rules when it comes to artwork. So our Release Builder is designed so that if we accept your artwork - the stores will too!

Uploading artwork that doesn't follow the rules can cause issues and delays - so be careful! Make sure your artwork follows these guidelines:

✅ File format must be .jpg or .jpeg

✅ Perfectly square dimensions and a minimum of 1000x1000 pixels in size - but we recommend 3000x3000 pixels.

✅ Artwork file size must be no larger than 10Mb.

✅ 300 DPI resolution of if possible - but we accept 72 DPI and above.

❌ Don't include any text other than the artist name and release name

❌ Other text like web addresses, sponsors, social media links etc won't be accepted by the stores.

❌ Don't include parental advisory or explicit content icons if your release doesn't contain explicit language.

Your artwork could also be rejected if it features graphic explicit content. So keep it clean! 😇

You can update and edit your artwork by uploading a new image at Step 2 under the Release details tab of your Ditto account.
