What happens if artificial streams are reported on my music?

We take artificial streaming very seriously. Engaging in fraudulent streaming violates our terms and devalues the royalty pool for hard-working artists.

Artificial streaming can result in an permanent account ban and removal of your music from stores.

If your account has been banned for artificial streaming activity, that decision is usually final. All of the relevant information will be on our email correspondence.

However, if you believe you have been banned incorrectly, you can learn how to appeal the decision here.

We will usually warn you about artificial streaming activity on your music by email before suspending your account, so you can take steps to stop it occurring. You can find more guidance on reducing artificial streams here.
