What is public domain music?
What is public domain music?
Updated over 4 months ago

Public domain music is music that isn’t protected by copyright. It is free for anyone to use, modify, distribute, or perform without needing to obtain permission or pay royalties to the track's copyright owner. 🎶

Public domain music includes:

  • Music where the copyright has expired.

  • Music that was never protected by copyright (such as some traditional or folk songs).

  • Music released into the public domain by the copyright holder.

Please do not upload tracks containing public domain music. We don't currently support the use of public domain music or music outside of its copyright duration due to potential copyright issues. 📖
